Set up Zapier MCP from mcp.zapier.com in three steps: you create the server, then connect your client to it. Share this page’s URL with any AI agent for guided setup, or follow the steps below.
Already signed in to Zapier from inside your AI client? Zapier created your server during sign-in. Do not create another one. Follow Connect your AI client instead.

Before you begin

  • A Zapier account.
  • An MCP-compatible AI client.
  • If your AI client is managed by your organization, an admin or owner may need to approve the Zapier connector before you can add it. Check your client’s page in Connect your AI client.

Step 1: Create an MCP server

  1. Go to mcp.zapier.com and click + Add MCP Server.
  2. Choose your client. Search for it, click one of the popular clients, or click See all for the full list.
  3. Your server is named automatically. To rename it, click the dropdown arrow dropdown arrow icon icon and click Rename.

Step 2: Connect your client

What happens next depends on how you chose your client:
  • A popular client: the connection instructions open straight away in a dialog. Follow them.
  • Any other client: select the link icon Connect tab on your new server for instructions specific to that client.
For most clients this is an OAuth flow, so your AI handles authentication and tool discovery. You do not need to configure tools manually. If your client is not listed, click See all, select Other, and follow the token-based setup.

Step 3: Finish setup and try an action

Your connection is active as soon as you complete Step 2. In your AI client, paste this prompt to finish setting up:
Your agent loads the packaged onboarding Skill and sets itself up around the apps you have already connected to Zapier. To confirm everything is working, ask your AI about its available tools:
Your AI will discover and list what it can do. From there, try any action across your connected apps, for example:
You’re all set. Your AI can now work with any of your connected Zapier apps.
