This page shows how to connect ChatGPT to Zapier MCP, either through a workspace app or by creating your own custom plugin in developer mode.

Before you begin

  • A Zapier account.
  • A ChatGPT plan that supports apps: Business, Enterprise, or Edu if your workspace already added Zapier, or a plan with developer mode if you are creating your own plugin.
  • Rolling out to your organization? An Admin or Owner can add Zapier for everyone at once: follow Roll out Zapier MCP to your ChatGPT workspace.

Connect Zapier MCP to ChatGPT

If your workspace already added Zapier, connect to it directly:

Start a Zapier request

In a new chat, select Zapier with @ or from the + menu, and ask for something that uses Zapier, such as listing your enabled Zapier actions.

Sign in

When ChatGPT prompts you, sign in to your Zapier account.

Choose your organization's workspace

If the Account field appears, select your organization’s workspace.
If your admin set Zapier’s availability to Available rather than Installed, install it first: in Settings → Plugins → Browse, select your organization’s name, find Zapier, and enable it. You can also ask ChatGPT in a chat to install the Zapier plugin.
You’ve now connected Zapier MCP to ChatGPT.
